I swear I don’t just make food all day 😉 But from the looks of my posts recently, it seems that way!
I needed a fun couples date night this week – and we all now how FUN fondue is (they should call it FUNdue). So heres the recipe (thank you to crunchy frugalista for the original! For her page, click HERE)2 c Swiss cheese, grated 2 c sharp cheddar cheese, grated 2 T flour 2 t ground mustard 2 t garlic powder black pepper 1 c beer food to dip (french bread, carrots, broccoli, green pepper, chicken bits)
Toss the grated cheese with the flour, so the cheese is evenly coated. Heat up fondue pot (mine is electric, so it’s as simple as turning it on). Pour beer & spices into the fondue pot. Once beer is almost boiling, add cheese a little at a time – while stirring. Keep stirring until the cheese has a runny consistency (should NOT be clumpy). If it’s too clumpy, add more beer. If it’s too runny, add more cheese or flour. Add more spices as needed.
